This technology develops advanced polarimetric imaging for rapid and effective solar module inspection.  Conventional based approaches are based on human inspection, which are expensive, slow and intrusive.  Preliminary studies show Polarimetric imaging results provide significant improvement in defect detection and can enable autonomous PV inspection with high speed, low cost, and high accuracy.
